Back To My Roots Festival
Olal, North Ambrym : 22, 23, 24 August 2018 The festival features welcoming custom dances, tam tam drumming, magic shows, flute demonstrations and sand drawing. As well as men and women’s custom dances, followed by a Namangi ceremony. Lantasu & Volcano Festival - NEW!
Lonmei Village, Sou' West Ambrym : 7 & 8 September 2018 Experience Magic with Magma! This is a new festival comes with a difference; not only including performances such as the famous “Rom dance”, traditional displays, and magic, it will culminate in an optional walk up to Mt Benbow and camping overnight on the ash plane. A cultural festival not to be missed – magic with magma!

Paama Island Mini Arts Festival
Tevali Aot Village, Paama Island : 26th -27th July 2018 ![]() The communities of Paama Island have organised a revival festival post Cyclone Pam to show that they are recovering well and to encourage people to visit their beautiful island with it's very own unique culture. Arrive via air to Paama airport and boat down the coast to walk in to the festival ground at Tevalia Aot Village or come via yacht and anchor in Tahi. Yam & Magic Festival
Olal, North Ambrym : 21 & 22 July 2018 An ancient cultural event in Ambrym – the Island of Magic! This yearly festival reveals why the yam is so sacred to the Melanesian people. You'll hear custom stories, witness traditional dances, watch demonstrations of intricate sand drawings and encounter different kinds of ritual magic.

Fanla Village, North Ambrym : 13 & 14 July 2018 ![]() This festival is not to be missed if you wish to see authentic, energetic, well-costumed Rom kastom in Vanuatu. There are usually more than 20 dancers and a crowd of over 300 village people. Be witness to the rarely-seen-by-outsiders circumcision ceremony with all the associated ‘kastom’ dances also be privy to ‘Mask Revealed’ ceremony with dance. There will also be traditional bamboo music, mouth organ playing, traditional cooking, weaving demonstrations and powerful Magic. Be sure to bring your wallet to purchase some of the most beautiful carving in wood and lava stone in Vanuatu.
